What to Expect Banner.jpg

We realize that visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous.

    • Where do I go?
    • What do I wear?
    • What time do I show up?
    • Do I bring my kids in the auditorium with me?

These and other questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease. We want your first visit to Bible Baptist Church to be as refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family as possible.

Here are a few answers to your questions that we have tried to anticipate...

Where should I go when I arrive?

We have two primary entry points into our church facility. We have a handicap ramp entrance, but also the main entrance. We encourage everyone, that does not require the handicap entrance, to enter the building at the main entrance at the front of the building! Inside the main entrance is a welcoming lobby that has a Welcome Center, our bathroom facilities, easy access to our class rooms, a rear entrance into our auditorium, and access to a stairway to the ground floor of our facility which houses additional classrooms, our baptistery, our fellowship hall, as well as, our kitchen. There should be someone in the lobby ready to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

    What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at Bible Baptist Church for members or guests. Our pastor and many of our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday" dress; however, a specific attire is not required, and our members wear a variety of styles of clothing. We think it makes sense to wear clean, modest clothing to church. If you do as well, you certainly will not feel out of place.

    Do you have a nursery?

Yes. A clean, staffed nursery is provided during all services for children 3 years of age and under. If you do not feel comfortable leaving your infant in our nursery, we have, at the rear of the auditorium, a "bawl room" for a parent to sit with their infant and not worry about being a distraction if the child does "bawl" during the service.

    What are your services like?

Our services are what is commonly called "traditional." The worship music primarily is great hymns of the faith as well as some choruses. We do have special music from members of the congregation on Sunday mornings. The focus of all of our meetings is the public worship of God in "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" and the faithful preaching and teaching of the Word of God.

Which Version of the Bible do you use?

Based on the teaching of the Bible and on the testimony of history, we are persuaded that the King James Version is the English translation of the inspired and preserved Words of God that still exist in the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Textus Receptus of the New Testament. If you do not have a copy of God’s Word in English (KJV), we will be happy to let you use one of our KJV Bibles here at the church building.

Do visitors have to stand up and say anything?

No, we would never want to embarrass a guest of ours. We will give you a connection card and ask you to drop it in the offering plate so we can have a record of your visit if you choose to do so. We do have a free gift for each guest available at the Welcome Center following the service.

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Bible Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

    Other questions?

If there’s something we missed in this list, just give us a call, or ask the person at the Welcome Center when you arrive. Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Bible Baptist will be tremendous help to you and an encouragement! We exist to preach God's truth from His Word, to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. We hope you’ll feel right at home from the very first moment you step into our church building! Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
